My needs for the truck don't really require a lift and bigger tires (currently running 265/75r16 ATs), but I would like alittle more front end protection and the ability to have a winch. I like the look of the Demello Offroad bumper but dont want it to look out of place on a tacoma thats not lifted.

If you add a plate bumper you will need to upgrade your stock suspension.

I think you need to/should upgrade front suspension if you have a plate bumper and/or a winch. That extra weight needs to be compensated for.

I've got damage on the passenger corner so I'm looking at full width stuff.

I guess I should have said stock height suspension. Planning on OME springs.

I think if you go aluminum like I did ( cbi with mid grille protection) it's not as bad. You might want to at least add like 1/4" or 1/2" spacer to the front just to bring back up a little. To compensate for the weight of the bumper and winch.

Are your AT tires aggressive? IMO a non aggressive tire and plate bumper look silly, but that's just me. With that being said, SOS Concepts or Pelfrey has my vote. SOS Concepts may be driving distance to you to save on shipping

Gotcha, makes sense. Good luck, I personally like the look of the C4 full bumper

I'm in the same boat for my '17. Was thinking the Avid, but it can't take a winch. Ranch Hand has one that can take a winch, but it's not replacing the bumper so OP would still see the damage.
Body Armor makes a beasty one as well.

Lookin forward to see what people post.

Edit* Body Armor only has the bumper for up to '15. Damn.

This is the only pic I have of mine before the lift and with the prototype dissent offroad bumper.
I did however have a 1" level kit that gave me about 3/4" lift after the winch and bumper were installed.
The bumper weighs about 90lbs and will also offer an aluminum steel hybrid at some point that will likley weigh about 50lbs.
