TRD S/C installed in Canada is 7K. So as soon as warranty expires to the US I go!

 

For his, I heard that he is still waiting to upgrade to the AEM EMS.

For me, I should be getting some exhaust work done in about a month or so.

Have him route my wastegate dump tube back into the exhaust. Clean up the exhaust tone when in boost. No more angry dinosaur, but refined exotic.

 

Nice, Dezod I saw is still trying to workout all the kinks with that system, which is good to see.

That'll definitely add a nice tone too it, your going to have to post up a before and after sound clip!

Yes, bit that '09 + seems to be a whole different animal from the '05-'08s. Just going to take a little extra time. It would be much faster if Dezod had the truck in house. Much. They will get it though.

Yeah, I will certainly get some sound clips before and aft. Right now it just sounds so angry when I get into boost. Literally scares the drivers next to me. LOL.

Got to tame the beast down. For the sake of their safety. Haha.

 

Yours sounds very good . Clearly having it routed under the truck facing rearward sounds much better than in the fender well.

 

Being 09+ is proving to be a pain in the ass well unless you go full custom with ProEFI!

So heres Version 2.(my turbo kit) Version 3 will be pretty much the same as you see this just larger turbo feed pipes. Unfortunately I didnt receive the rest of my metal that i was expecting yesterday. so it my be another week or 2 before i finish this project. But on a good note, this is the first time ive taken the whole kit off since i installed it and im happy to say that after almost a year of being on the truck and 20k miles later there are NO cracks, or any signs of fatigue. and 10k of the miles are beating the F out of the truck. mostly late night street racing.lol

This is taking me a little longer to build cause im fixturing as i go.




I know im not the best fab/welder out there, but I use correct techniques that alot of shops dont use. Any pipes feeding air into the engine or turbo should be welded inside and out (known as purge welding). If your header or any pipes between engine and turbo (hot side) have cracked its most likely cause it was not Purge welded. When you dont purge weld it leaves nasty very pitted bumps inside, and when you put heat into that itll start cracking from the inside out. Heres what a correctly welded header pipe should look like.

There certainly will be. I heard the finshed product on Monday. Made my ears drool. Lol
