@$yoda$ No side effects, but I also don't put a heavy draw on the charging system. I have no winch or aftermarket sound system. A 400-watt inverter (another item I forgot to add to the list) and the 2nd battery are the only non-oem items putting an extra load, and I rarely use the inverter. I added the second battery because I offroad solo and I got tired of hauling a battery pack.

    Archive Hammer Hangers.

Tacoma's don't have to have a bouncy rear end. That's the shitty factory shackle hangers acting like a second spring. And it doesn't matter what suspension you put on, it doesn't solve that problem (trust me, I'm on my 4th configuration). HHs get rid of the fast double-bounce jitters and make the rear end feel much more controlled. Especially when hauling or towing.

Fumoto valve and a pop&lock locking tail gate latch. Both super easy installs and are totally worth it. Tail gates come off way too easy having a lock could save you a lot of money.

Detroit Truetrac torsen differential. Always helpful, always seamless. Next is the Fumoto oil valve simply for convenience.

Something must be wrong with yours, normally the systems are extremely efficient.

    Unfamiliar with “NA”.
I installed the catch can in order to keep the combustion chamber as carbon-free as possible. It’s such an easy and cheap ‘mod’, why not, I reasoned with myself. Although, I didn’t cheap on the can ($100 for a Saikou Michi), and it has to be removed to pass smog test in CA, although, my truck has passed three times and no one has noticed it.

Same advice here… How do you plan to use your truck? The answer should guide you on your selection. I do mild off road adventures and some trail running but my truck is also my daily driver.

Mine has never been “ice cold” since the day i bought it. I had it checked 3 times and it’s ok but on a hot a$$ day I have to keep it at max setting to keep the cab cool.

Seconded. Even right after a recharge, a road trip through the desert requires max setting to keep the cab somewhat decent. Passengers in the back are basically SOL.

Wish there was an AC Compressor/fan upgrade I could do to make it more efficient.

Third. Hate it. Running on max it keeps the truck cool but the blower noise irritates the living …. Out of me. Level 2 or level 3 doesn’t do anything on days in the high 80’s, 90’s or triple digits. Hate running the blower above 2 because of the noise.

On the flip side I can bbq a piece of chicken with the heat on 1 in the winter.

IDK what y'all have for trucks, guessing access or double cab. My single cab can get frigid in no time

13 DC. Dealer said ac system checks out when I asked about it.

Curious if cab size makes a difference as well. Cab gets cold and stays cold but only running on high. Anything less and the system can’t seem to keep up.
