    I know, I am new, use the search, there is a million threads, etc...Let's be honest here, if everybody used the search there would be nothing to talk about, plus you know you guys like answering these questions.

    On to the important stuff, I just bought my 2010 DC PreRunner and I am interested in lifting it 3". I will be lifting it strictly for looks. What is the most affordable 3" lift to keep as close to a factory ride as possible?

    Toytec 3" spacers.
    Its 100 bucks.
    Toytec only makes their parts for toyotas and some of the dealerships even put them on their trucks.

    I have it on mine. It looks great.

    I have a feeling using spacers only does not retain the factory ride, someone correct me if I am wrong.

    it does not, really stiff. if you want the best ride and 3" get coilovers

    If possible, I would like to stay as close to $500 for the kit alone if there is something in that range that doesn't screw up the ride too much. I def. want to stay as far below $1000 as I can.

    the aal is not better than a new leaf pack but does the job just fine. that setup is fine.

    A lot of people choose the 5100's all around but the OME shocks are better valved for the OME coils. Full leaf is always better then an AAL.

    That^ The bilsteins are great if you are going to lift without new springs. If you are going to the 885/886 springs- Get the shocks that are built to work with them. Just MHO.

    AALs work just fine. If budget is your thing....It's 60 bones for an AAL versus 350 for a new leaf pack....And upgrades down the road are always an option.

    so basically I should just get the OME kit with new springs, OME shocks all around, and AAL, and the spacers if I want a full 3"? Will adding the spacers worsen the ride at all? That kit lifts the front 3" and the rear 1.5" to level it off?

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Keep in mind that along with a lift, comes a more firm ride. Be it "Coilovers", OME, or Eibach set ups, increaseing spring rate will make the ride more firm. Most Coilovers have a 650# spring rate, Eibach uses a 600# and a 620# (depending on the spring), and OME uses 590# and 650# spriings. Stock is 550#. When getting new springs, you need to consider new shocks too. The stock shocks are not designed to dampen after market springs with a higher spring rate. The ride will be bad.
