Aye! You are right! I must be getting “old” and mixing up memories.

I actually use Mobil 1 - 0w-20 in my taco with a high quality filter and change it myself every 10k.

What sort of oil should I use with a spacer lift and cold air intake? Will it cause rubbing?

What ever happened to the toilet roll oil filters? Can't seem to find them anywhere. I have some John Wayne toilet paper ready to go!

The oil threads usually include posts like "I have used xxx for years and never had a problem". People mention Mobil 1, Pennzoil Platinum, Redline, Amsoil, Supertech, Castrol, etc. I never see posts about "I used xxx and my engine died at 75,000 miles". My takeaway from this is that most any reputable 0W-20 oil will be fine.

My uncle’s brother used Valvoline and his engine seized. Wouldn’t have been so bad if it didn’t cause the pickup he was driving to launch off a cliff and fall on an orphanage in the valley below. He was hauling a 1/2 tonne of TNT in the bed at the time.

I use Valvoline 50wt VR1 race oil in the Camaro with a bottle of zinc additive just to keep the cam happy
