So Im lookin to buy ONLY a muffler. Loudness to me doesnt matter. Mainly lookin for a nice tone and everything all the way around. I kno some ppl will say o this one and that one is too loud. I have a 2500 cummins with a 7 inch stack behind my head, im used to loud. so again loud wont bother me just lookin to have a good all around sound/ tone on the truck. what do yal recommend?

I had the TRD on for about a week and I wasn't a fan. Weird tone IMO and droned really bad between 25-35 mph.

My friend how runs a muffler shop, put a magnaflow on mine. I fixed his mandrel tube bender for exhaust and he felt compelled to put it on, even though I was doing it as a favor. I have to say, after driving two yrs on a 07 v6, it was nice change especially after I lay into it! It throaty and not pingy. Now Im wondering if, theres any other performance gain to be done with the exhaust system. I thought I read somewhere in this form about a free flowing cat by magnaflow? Hmmm... thinking

I have a Magnaflow, and I'm happy with it. None of them make a power difference so just pick your sound. I chose Magnaflow because they're proven on so many race trucks to be tough and well built.

i've been reading all the information on exhausts, but it seems that I can't get any noticeable hp without adding a super charger or swapping in a Tundra V8. I'd love to have an X-Runner, but it's not practicle and my wife doesn't want to drive a stick.

Yeah, that's about right. Unless your fixing some problem with your engine.
