I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
Raush Creek for example so far had managed to stay open, despite of being overused. There is another Offroad park opening up in PA but this one is going to be runned by local gov. I forgot the name of the town. I guess its going to be interesting how they manage to stay open.
I think things get better. Give it 10 years and its goign to be much more land to wheel. Places got overbuild ed because the housing boom. And Greenies are somewhot right. There are some that wheel completely irresponsible, leaking oil, no mufflers, skinny pedal, tons of garbage. Unless people learn how to share space with other species and be gentle things will get closed.

I elect this guy for most capable Tacoma, He is not on the forum though.
He has probably most capable Tacoma ever build. That hill broke back of 4 Jeeps. Ford buggy had trouble making up. His truck walked right up like there is nothing to it.

That day everything was slimy and slippery like crazy. Video does not do justice to the place. I ripped my rock panel. Half of the Jeeps had broken something. It was complete mayhem.

To give better perception here is one of the Jeeps loosing its drive shaft on the same spot.

Did you happen to pass by Winch Hill ? I'm not even sure they allow anyone to run that anymore. I think it got really bad over the years. I was the first numb nuts to do an end-over-end on it.

Great wheelin memories. It's a damn shame Paragon closed up. That place was awesome!

Frog Hole....seen many-o-folk go in there and not come out.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.

from what i saw at Tellico, the erosion problem would benefit tremedously from some well implimented silt fence/straw bales and some regular maintenace. the thing that got me was how much trash was stewn about along the trails.

the issue as i understand it was the silt entering the streams. silt fence and straw could stop it, but the silt would need to be removed from the "traps" regularly. they were doing field tests when i went in Oct. 08. had some kind of measuring devices at the runoff points. i got to wheel there just in the nick of time.
