I know it's a tedious and most likely overused question so thanks everyone, you're all awesome.

Quaker State makes a 5w-30 synthetic blend HM formula. It's available at Wal-Mart for about $14 for a 5 quart jug. That's what I use in my FIL's '03 Dodge Dakota and his '04 Toyota Sienna. Both are well north of 100K miles. No leaks and neither burns a drop.

Be careful not to over think this or you'll lose your mind.

General Motors mentality. The old GM 350 would leak like crazy with higher mileage unless you started putting heavier oil into them.

    Workin' on it....
    I'd stick with 5w30 but I prefer a synthetic.

I've talked to a few people on here and some threads I've also read say that around my mileage it's pointless to switch to synthetic, so I was told to stick with conventional or switch to a 5w-30 part synthetic.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I know it's and old thread but don't run 10W-40 in it, especially because of the VVT-i they're finicky about oil grades and too thick of grade can actually cause it to starve the timing system of oil. Any high mileage conventional will be fine, Pennzoil or Quaker have my vote, check out Mobil HM as well. Never was impressed by Castrol but that's just me.
