Negative, excessive EGTs and head pressures, sounds like a burned plug or too as well. Obviously too lean, need to up the milk enrichment under load or add ethanol injection.

they are teasing you, at your expense. sorry for that. with that said, they are rudely telling you what you know already know. the "chips" of the old days, are now just snake oil in the modern automobile. your best bet is to research reputable tuners with OV Tuning hardware and software, and augment your auto that way, via the ECU Flash. Just pick whatever ebay special fits the budget and has the biggest +250hp +39mpg. Chips were a thing before 9nboard computers. Look at the 4d fuel mapping as just one of many charts your stock ecm uses for power calculations and you may begin to understand why adding a resistor inline isnt going to do a thing other than jack up your engine harness

maybe consider looking into why an entire group of individuals are diverting the specific subject you're asking about to something entirely different.

chips are a waste of money. it's a resistor installed on the MAF that tricks the MAF into thinking there's more air entering than there is. by consequence, this dumps more fuel into the motor, but also tends to wreck your cats, and cause decreased mpg. this was the 2000's version of 'flipping the air filter top' of the 60's-80's. cars are now smarter than those tricks that worked on carbureted motors and the basic obd1 systems from before.

With that said I've heard that Bullydog is working on a handheld programer to add different tunes and to make adjustments for tires sizes and such. Stay away from any piggyback chips, it's snake oil.

 

@BossRiver9 Get the truck tuned instead of buying a chip. I have the KDMax tune and it’s the best thing I’ve done to my truck and I’ve done a lot of things to my truck.
