Interesting. I know from the Corvette side, and having done the research there, the GM techs can tell if it was ever flashed, even if you 'restore' it so a lot of folks don't do it until the warranty is up.

Too hard to find the good Yamazaki 12yr for an affordable price so I fall back to the Hibiki 12yr.

When I run out of my Hibiki, I cycle through the Islay places to see what peaty stuff I want..somehow always falls back to Lamphroaig. When not in for the peat, I go Talisker. At the end of all my searching and realizing I'm short on stock, I say F it and do shots of Jameson.

i'm not into paying double for the Japanese stuff cus hipsters got excited. Toki isn't bad but isn't good either. i got a bottle of Bunnahabhain 12. i do miss the Yamazaki though. i also got a bottle of Nikka Coffey vodka which is nice.
