How is that political? I didn't say what should change. Heck, for all I implied it's possible that I was referring to their underwear.

As for that second highlight, the purpose of a protest is to bring attention to itself, which they've done, and so they were successful. You might as well cry "political!" if someone says the Baja 1000 starts today. It's a simple statement of fact unrelated to any outside associations.

Anyway, more pics would be really cool. Banners, signs, police preparation and actions, whatever. Good and bad from both sides are welcome.

Here's what has become the face of Occupy Seattle. I want to feel bad for this old lady, but her known history of activism dating back to the 60's and her prior arrest history for it, make it a little tough for me. (That is milk on her face post-pepper spray btw)

I heard her interviewed on the radio and had a similar thought process. The statement from the department was along the lines of "Pepper spray is not age-specific."

On one hand it's hard to see how she could be seen as a threat requiring that response, but on the other hand there was a larger crowd control issue and she was in the middle of it.

Side note -- I bet that milk felt REALLY good after that initial spraying.

Pure pepper spray. I was waiting for them to do that all weekend.

There were probably 4 times that we saved an "occupyer's" life over the last month. There was a lot of drug use down town at the camps.

I intially felt bad for her, then I read the story. I have no sympathy.

Also. This is NOT a political thread. Just a thread for pictures, and comments on the pictures about the occupy and the police. Please try and keep politics out of it.

And just for shits. According to some occupyers. I am in the 1%. Hell yeah! I have a house, I own my truck. I have a well paying job with benifits. I also have student loans which I will work to pay off. I'm not taking any handouts (unless powerball comes through).

That would be interesting. I am staying as far from Downtown as possible these days. I only go down there for work.

I live downtown, nothing has really been happening outside of the parks next to city hall. Yesterday was just retarded.

You obviously also lack intelligence, believing this statement to be political in nature. Here's an unintelligent gesture you should be able to understand,

Too bad because the cops should be joining the movement, not fighting it. They're getting raped sideways in this economy too.

The difference is, most cops know that protests gain nothing. Plus, cops are too busy WORKING to protest.:)
