I do not have experience with this particular product, But I have owned several tops for my various Jeeps made by best top.

They have a pretty good/solid reputation in that community. I was always pleased with their products, and have had nothing but great experiences from their customer service folks.

I have been debating getting a topper of some sort for my truck as well, and this looks like a decent option.

I would caution you though, I dont believe this product would be well suited for physical security of your stuff, given its cloth like material.

Also, not being familiar with it, nor its mounting design, it may just keep your stuff "less wet" than without it, whereas a hard top would truly close off the bed from the elements.

Just my thoughts, and I too look forward to others responses.

I just put one on last weekend. It's not water tight and is not a good place to "lock" stuff. But I only need a top every so often and this was my best choice. And I don't have a place to store a fiberglass top. It folds down in about 5 minutes and can be removed altogether. Easy to install, just do it on a warm day as the instructions say.
I bought mine for $544.00 at

    http://www.truckaddons.com/manufactures/Bestop-truck-accessories.htm

This is the best price I found.

    I should add....
it has no way to lock, but then again the tail gate doesn't either. It is very well made. Customer service is great. My wife is a very critical person, but she even likes it. When I said it is not water tight, I meant that a few drops will get through. Your stuff will not get soaked.

cool thanks for your help guys. I dont need it for security, just keeping camping gear and stuff out of the elements. and I have a 4 wheeler too and I need the ability to be able to remove/fold up for when Im hauling it so the solid topper is out.

to install the softopper requires attaching a velcro strip along the top edge of the tailgate. You can't open the gate without opening the top first. And it doesn't have windows though I do like the idea of being able to roll it up.
The Bestop isn't attached to the tailgate so you can open the gate without doing anything to the top. The windows in Bestop can be removed to give that rolled up look. I have a reg. cab and plan to rig a way to store the windows behind the bench seat.
