Best place to sell a Tacoma

My sister and her husband have a 1999 Tacoma that they want to sell...they just replaced it with another vehicle and need room in the garage. When they bought it, it was pretty much the only truck she would consider buying as she had one much earlier in her life and loved it.

She has it posted on AutoTrader but has received no response. Her Toyota dealer recommend she use a nationwide site to find Tacoma enthusiasts specifically. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good site to use? I don't think I can post to this forum 50 times in order to meet the requirements for posting a 'for sale' ad.

I like her Tacoma and have driven it quite a bit when I visit..it is a great little truck...but I don't need it. If I were moving to Florida soon, I might consider buying it as as a second vehicle but I am not ready to retire yet.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated!

 

If you can put up with the flakes out there, Craigslist works. I sold my 84 Toyota 4x4 within an hour of posting.

Someone told me Craigslist wasn't a great place to sell as it seems like most people are trying the "Let's Make a Deal" approach. But I will mention to her that it was recommended.

Yea, that's what I was thinking after it sold so quick but I actually listed it quite a bit higher than any comparable truck and way above "book" value.

Several of us live within 10 miles of Oldsmar. There is a market here. She won't have any trouble selling if the truck is decent and priced right.

It is a 4 cylinder, manual transmission. What else would be of help?
