The OBDlink MX+ is probably the best wireless interface to the ECUs.

It works with most apps, and if you're brave, allows you to modify some parameters.

If you want to program the ECUs however, you'll need a JTAG harness and full ECU documentation.

If you just want COTS upgrades, get OVTune and their harness. It changes the OEM PID lookup tables, and is probably the only real game-changer on these vehicles.

Welcome to TW. You have to remember that, even though your questions are new to you, people have been asking those exact same questions for four years now.
Best thing you can do is simply google your questions. Type in 3rd Gen Tacoma (your question) and it will give you every thread that talks about that subject.
Again, welcome, and remember most of the people who answer questions are not kids. However, we all have a good time busting and joking around.

@Cotex19 I was busting your balls brother. I'm an old crusty fucker and sometimes nuance is lost on me. If you recall, I did welcome you to the forum and answered your question but was merely trying to steer you to search before asking because that will get you flamed every time!
So again welcome to the show! You will learn more than you wanted to and find creative ways to justify the next mod!

Try using google (or your fav search engine) and search 'the fuck is wrong with my truck/what tires fit stock wheels/what lift/best tires' etc... and add tacomaworld at the end of the search. You'll find all the answers for basic stuff that way without creating another thread that will eventually spiral to chaos, cause mass bans or get deleted outright.

TW is a fantastic place, I've learned a lot about my truck and have had a lot of help from the people on here, but man this 3rd gen section is wild most of the time...
