Can anyone recommend a good rear shock to a acomedate a 2' lift. I have the tsb leaf pack with a 1.5' block.. I had the procomp pro runner's on but the driver side blew within 2 years. I recently changed from an aal to a block, but the ride height didn't change so I'm sure it was just the shocks that were junk.

get rid of the block.... get a proper leaf pack, something like an all pro pack, dakars etc.

and if you wanna good shocks.... a 12in king / fox etc 2.5in remote resi and the bamf relocation kit, you cant get much better than that!

True ... but how many guys who run blocks in the rear take them out for some $1500 shocks? ;)

Kings are the best if price isn't a factor

More important question is why they blew. Under normal operation pretty much anything will be fine. Was your bed overloaded? Was one side completely stuffed or drooped? Did you hit a gnarly bump at 90 and bottom them out hard? Under most circumstances a set of Billie 5100's will work for you. I assume you aren't looking for anything too expensive since you opted for blocks in the first place.

Not sure how it blew. But it's finished... I do bomb down a lot of logging roads but I can't see that blowing the shock. Just a dud I guess. I switched back to the aal as I bought a cap and I find it rides nice with the little extra weight. And I think I'm going with the Icon vs 2.0's. Non resale tho. I hear the 5100's are the best with a 2" lift

Looking to spend around $4-500. I like the way the icon's mount too.

Bilstein 5100's on all four corners. Front set @ 0 with OME 883x coils. Alcon leaf springs. Viper Alarm. Wet Okole seat covers. WeatherTech Floor liners front and back. Oem Toyota chrome exhaust tip. ARE Shell. America Outlaw Wheels.
OP thanks for posting your experience with the procomp prerunner shocks. A few months ago I was looking into getting them after having leak issue with the 5100's. I am not lifted in the rear so I choice to go with the Bilstein 4600 series and all is good. You might want to look at the OME shocks.
