apologies, I only meant for full security systems that had remote start too. I was a bit disappointed that n2 didn't also have the full security system...damn good reviews on the forum site for you guys and good customer service from what I've read, major plus ;)

We don't advertise it because it complicates things with extra hardware and support...but here is a little secret, ALL our modules and prices are what they are because they are all equipped to be setup for security as well...we just don't activate the firmware for it. ALL our devices are full featured with parameters for shock sensors, etc...

But activating the security feature (note I didn't say "adding") can complicate things for the average DIY in instances where OEM alarms are ever so present...and in some cases an integration nightmare for the inexperienced...it starts to become a scenario where we ask people to become techs with no experience...so we don't do it. That's also a difference between us and all the others we are compared with when it comes to product quality and capabilities.

Accessorides sells the adapter so that you don't need to cut the wire with any brand. I bought one and don't need it. It's for sale in the buy sell trade forum.

YES! We are currently working on. We just agreed to a production bid to start manufacturing once we receive our sample to evaluate for quality and fitment before signing off on production. I'm thinking we'll have these kits available (worst case) before Black Friday as an added plus to intro them to you guys and the world, but best case is end of October. Keep in mind, we WERE the first to ever offer 2020 PTS kits. Now we are improving on them since we wanted to make sure things didn't change for 2021. We also didn't want to increase pricing or pass it on to customers, and I can so far say, we're good with that respects.

In the mean time, @DTaco18 is correct, we've had folks buy our kit, and just the adapter from them as they mate up just fine. For the reason, our current plug n play + one snip 2020 PTS kit is on sale at $224 while supplies last. However, once we kit them as full PnP, the price will go back to what it has been sold at since inception ($249) which is NOT a price increase because it's not a penny more than what it always has been.

N2 designs. If you can plug your cell phone charger into the wall, you can install this product! Very easy to do! Installed it in 105 degree AZ weather, should have done it sooner.

Booom! And for those that ask what's the difference between N2 and ___________..this right here, along with the hundreds of other sentiments along the same lines, is the NUMBER 1 reason...

This wasn't bought, it was earned, because of folks like yourselves, thanks to all the loyal forum members here for their support, N2 LOVES YOU ALL! (But you already knew that!)

    upload_2020-10-1_11-47-36.jpg

The goal is to keep this streak going as long as possible...we'll do whatever we need to do to make sure of this. That's a PROMISE. When you buy from us, you become family. We don't abandon family after a sale and in some cases after warranty has elapsed. We're different and have a revolutionary approach to customer satisfaction, service, and support of which has never been seen, and won't be until this becomes a trend. If they don't operate like us, then theIr prIorIte$ are nothing like oUrs.

I've found Jimmy's customer service to be outstanding from order through install to troubleshooting and even module replacement if needed.
My unit was outside of warranty and after a couple failed tests Jimmy was quick to offer a replacement unit free of charge. I have to say that was a surprise after past experiences with other vendors. I'll certainly be coming back to N2 Designs for remote start in my next rig.

@N2DesignsInc - Reading through this and really impressed with your replies and help you have provided customers. I am in the market for a remote start for my new to me 2010 Taco but am i correct in saying that you dont offer anything for this year? I like the small footprint and the true plug n play design you offer for the 3rd gen and up but what about us 2nd gens? Can you help out with a product? Thanks

Yup...almost one year past warranty. It's not a policy set forth in stone, rather case by case but when you buy, buy with confidence. When you shop with us, it should be based on value, not just cost...and for the cost, you get unparalleled value.

The reason here is because two fold:

    A. It's semi plug n play, about 6 or so wires are tapped. We don't like to sell something in which skill level actually makes a difference. We want to sell based on ease. Frustrated customers because of their own short comings is a negative reflection back on us so to protect the sanctity and positive perception of our business name that we've worked so hard to keep propped up, so we opted not to.

    B. It does not have 3X lock ability with the OEM fob, meaning the price isn't something we can justify because you need the remote starter AND our RF long range fob kit. So, it's hard to explain the cost to a customer in that they still have to buy the remote starter only as a base to be able to ADD/Connect the fob kit, yet don't get the 3X from OEM fob function. It looks like deception or robbery and we've always been the hard working person's advocate...meaning if we can't justify it, we don't want the profit especially since again, it's only semi-plug n play.

We only prefer to sell plug n play, or at the VERY least, plug n play and NO MORE than 1-3 extra wires on a plug n play kit that require tapping and/or cutting as anything past that will challenge folks that want the DIY aspect, but aren't keen or comfortable with tapping and/or splicing.

Furthermore, the 2nd gens had a mid cycle refresh with respects to electronics so trying to keep track is a nightmare as sometimes folks aren't sure which side of the cycle they were on, and so it would require asking, and trusting the response from a customer about which they have based on manufacturing date is not rock solid in terms of mistakes. Because there are potentially two different kits for a single gen, it complicates things.

We've done it for a few folks on here a few times on the side by request. We showed them the instructions, then once they still said that it's a task they can handle, then we've sent them the price. If they wanted to move forward, we kitted it specially for them. We could potentially do the same for you, but of course with special TW treatment. PM me if interested.

    Thanks,
    Jimmy

I will be ordering N2 remote. I had many questions and concerns with adding remote start. I emailed N2 and Jimmy replied very very quickly and he also took the time to call me two times to talk about his product. His knowledge and support and 100% backing of his product is worth every penny. Just keep in mind you get what you pay for in life and that includes the after buy support and N2 and Jimmy give you that 100%.

    Hi,

I just bought a pre owned 2018 Tacoma. It came with a remote starter installed. I push the lock button three times on my fob and the car remote starts.

does that mean I have the n2?

how can I find out which remote start I have installed? I want to install a module that will give me the option to start with my cell phone when the fob is out of range.

Jump on YouTube and find the trim disassembly instructions to access where it likely will be...and if it's not N2, let us know, our module works with MANY other brands.
