You'll need to purchase the Viper edition which would be the VSM550 or DSM550 (both identical, both will work on Viper only). We don't use these due to the negative perception they've received over the years from other dealers in the industry that we speak with from time to time. We've only "heard" not validated this, but that they "suck" seems to be the common word used by MANY that have come to us for a complete swap out. And their subscription is a flat $99/year whereas ours is only $39.99/yr. $99 with us, gets you THREE years! Hopefully this helps. Good luck!

Is there any workaround for this? Do other brands do the same thing? I just received my N2, but I'll return it and get something different if there's a brand without that "hiccup" that still works with my factory key fob.

They all do it. Go ahead and install the N2.

I have a Compustar and it doesn't shut off when I open my door. The low tire pressure light comes on though. They warned me it would and it doesn't bother me. It goes off after I get in and start driving. I have a key ignition. Idk if that matters.

Yes. That is the reason it does not shut off. Push-to-start turns off when opening the door, H-Key does not.

I have 12v for mine and my wife’s 4R. Great customer service and got it on sale for under 200 each. Had issues with my wife’s but they took care of it all.

I too have a 12Volt.Solutions remote start. Any new user attempting to search on "12v" would be screwed. I don't think their company naming is doing them any favors in the modern age of product searching.
