Show it to a place that does spray-in bedliners and see if they recognise it.

Does it look like it was done professionally or diy?

this reminds me... i'll give an update of my hurculiner job i did 3 months ago.... well it faded... i expected that, and am alright with that... what i dont like is how easy it is to peel off... i was hauling some plywood and 2x4's and when i put the plywood in the bed, it peeled a line down the side... then the other week i was hauling around furniture, took a quarter sized piece off the tailgate.

come spring i will put on another coat.. but you get what you pay for. i know i wouldnt have these problems with linex... but dont have that kind of money...

    such is life.

I put down the Duplicolor with Kevlar and am not impressed with the results. It is wayyyyy to chunky with the kevlar imbedded. This past summer I did a roadtrip 8k in 3 months, and my gear in my bed rubbed the coating right off.

I think he's referring to Bed Liners in a can, not pre-molded bed liners... :)

    my .02 FWIW...

i used herculiner on my rockers and flares. it was about 4 years ago. i was actually going to paint it a flatter black because it is pretty glossy when its freshly applied but after a couple months it faded and has stayed that color ever since. i really like the way it looks now. i put about 3-4 coats of it on and have not experienced ANY peeling on the rockers. there is some peeling on the flares but i think that is more my fault for not prepping it as well. the herculiner is definitely pretty abrasive even after 4 yrs but i don't really care on the rockers... i might think about something a little smoother if i had it in my bed but i have a bedrug. here is a close up of the herculiner after 4 years...

edit: and this was applied with the roller. i get a lot of compliments and questions about it. i even got out of a speeding ticket for it. cop pulled me over for doing about 12 over and we ended up BSing about how to do the liner on the rockers and then he gave me a warning. lol

I will tell you one thing, if you don't spend a lot of time doing the surface prep correctly, it doesn't matter wtf you spray in there. As soon as mine is finished peeling off I'm going to take it to someone with the patience to do it right :D

I prepped for about a full 6 hours the day prior because I didn't want anything peeling off. No issues so far.

I used this spray on kit about two weeks ago on mine:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPRAY-IN-on...Parts_Accessories&hash=item231cd69991&vxp=mtr

I know the OP said roll on liner and this was sprayed in, but the left over I had in the bucket was still liquid for about 30 minutes after I was done with the Taco. I applied the rest with a brush (a roller would work fine too) on my 87 and it worked great. It's not as nice as the spray, but it works. My friend used this on his truck and beat the crap of out if for years and it held up. As above prep is the key. If you chose to roll on this kit you would not mix it all up at once like instructed. Maybe do it in 1/4's so it does not harden up too much on you.

I've used the DupliColor spray in bedliner stuff on my 2000 Taco and had excellent results for about $8 a can. A whole bed would take about 6-8 cans--and it dries very fast. Never used other products.

Buy another qt of Herculiner and paint over it (no prep work needed).

That's the only downfall to Herculiner. It gets thin over the years especially if exposed to the elements. The thicker it is, the less problems you have with fading.

Herculiner makes a UV protector/restorer product. It says it protects, plus restores the original look. I think its a bit glossy at first anyway. You can re-coat in about 15 minutes.
    HL1_8498e830627914c66b00e0fa8dc48ea6fb734cd0.jpg
    HL2_ac3134848a24066f4727022a840c461dba650e5a.jpg

Thats Herculiner in the bed, on the cab edge rail and on the tailgate rail, then Wade bedrail caps on the sides.
I used my orbital sander with a paint disc to rough up the bed, then removed the dust, then rolled the bed, let it dry for a few days after two regular coats, came back and dabbed the white spots, then rolled it again, last I used blue tape with edge lock to roll the front and tailgate rails. Then installed the wade bedrail caps, and secured with two small screws in each, and painted the heads.
I wasnt that careful and it came out nice. I used the mentality that its a truck bed, not an eating surface at a 5 star restaurant.

*Make sure to use blue or green tape with edge lock, or your bedliner will run underneath the tape.
*wear latex gloves, or it will take days to remove it from your hands.
*cover all surfaces of your truck you dont want this to get on, its amazing how it can get on your fenders cab, etc.
