So, Among other things I use my truck to move "organic fertilizer processed from horse food by horses" - it is a truck. I have the drop-in Toyota liner in there at present, but I suspect rust is going on under it. I'd be happy to lose it (and the extra space it takes up) if one of these coatings will really hold up to shoveling, etc - if not, I suppose I could trim that liner so it's easier to get out (I think the tailgate extender bracket is the main thing keeping it in, from what I can see) and drop it in when I'm hauling a crap-load of horse apples. The "peeling off when loading lumber" report is a bit of a concern, as that's another thing I do frequently (and a surface less slippery than the drop in liner would be better for that.)

So I've found one mention of using the tinted raptor, and 0 pictures of tinted raptor. When I expand my search, I find threads with raptor lights and tinted something else, or black raptor and a mention that it can be had tintable. Pictures of tinted raptor would be appreciated (and if it's been on for a few years, and beat on like a truck, so much the better.)

I put Monstaliner in my Jeep Wrangler tub and the stuff is great. Super tough, 100% UV resistant so it won't fade, good smooth "orange peel" texture (but still grippy)

I also got some of Magnet Paints (the guys who make Monstaliner) chassis saver paint to do my axles and frame once I get the time.

I seriously just signed in here for the first time in months just to push this product. Guys over on the Jeep forums love the stuff.

I want to Raptor line my rocker panel and door/fenders up to the first body line.

How would I prep everything before doing so? And how much do you think I would I be spending in materials/parts?

Butcher paper to cover-up for over-spray and painter's tape to hold. I used medium grit sanding sponges to scuff everything up. The sponges don't damage the tape so you can sand right over it for a razor sharp line. Just peel the tape when it's still tacky from the second coat for a clean edge.

Like others, I'm between products for my diy mod. I like the finish of Raptor and don't mind the application process, but any more info on the texture of it.

I noticed Monstaliner was described as a grippy orange peel. That is the desired texture I'm going for, but am leaning towards a sprayed on product. LineX, etc are nice but I have never been a fan of their abrasive finish. Any input on the Raptors finish would be appreciated. thanks

    Look at build!
If you go raptor liner, out of the whole kit you will probably only use 1 out of the 4 bottles but get the tintable kind cause I've heard the already pre made black one will fade. I mixed automotive flat black paint in my bottle accordning to instructions on the box and it came out fantastic and haven't had a single issue so far inside the cab!

I just did a light sanding and scuffed up the paint almost to where I could see bare metal inside the cab. As for the whole kit it costs me $116 shipped to the house and a quart of the black paint was $25 thru oreileys. When I do the body it should only take a quart or so of paint to mix in but abt 7 kits I believe for 2-3 coats. I also did 3-4 coats in the floor pan all with one kit and went up the back wall as well.

Here's a pic of the raptor liner. Sprayed in with a small 8gal compressor at 35 psi
