    Folks,

I added a bunch roof racks to the list. Thanks to everyone for pointing out additional racks! We are now up to 17 racks in total (and most likely, growing!).

Side note: I have no affiliation or relationship with any of these companies. I am interested in buying a roof rack when I get a few other things done on the truck. I do have some favorites and if I get time will write a little about each of the racks. Nothing technical. Just my observations. Hopefully this resource will be of use.

Think I’m leaning for a UpTop Bravo. Could’ve used a rack these last two mammoth runs.

I'm a huge fan of the Rave Off Road Rack. Especially the LED TRDs, I wired them up to my turn signals and it just adds a nice tasteful unique look.

Went with the UpTop Alpha and added both the BD ditch lights and the grab handles. I did modify their "fresh air" option slightly to allow an unobstructed view out of the sunroof. Happy with the way it came out. Their post sale customer service was great.IMG_9045.jpg

If I didn't go with a Yakima rack UpTop would have been my next choice solely because it is wider than all the other racks which I think looks better.

I don’t recommend putting a basket on the oem. It’s very loud, heavy, low load capacity, and having the basket messed up my oem rack and damaged the paint.

I've got the Rhino Rack Backbone System with the Pioneer Elevation Platform and I really like it. The quality seems solid, and it's nowhere near as noisy as the basket on my previous 4Runner.

    I would recommend it!

All make noise but this was with my front runner^ The noise was nothing compared to running a basket on an oem rack

As long as the basket has a wind faring on it the noise isn't that bad.
I have a Rola basket on my roof rack currently and it's pretty quiet. Though you will notice a drop in MPG since a roof basket adds drag.

I am about to switch over to a Yakima LockNLoad platform once I get my REI dividend.
