Best side steps for light off roading?

I can see after just one time out, these predator side steps are going to be a problem for light off-roading. Any suggestions?

I’d also recommend searching for some used sliders on here, or Craigslist/FB marketplace. That’s how I got mine. A little bit cheaper and you don’t have to pay for shipping or wait 6 months with all these crazy lead times. It’s pretty easy to find someone local to you selling a set.

I have SOS off road concepts sliders that I bought used from a local guy.

The company is out of business now but their sliders are a great product. I’d recommend them if you come across a used set since you can’t get them new anymore.

No problem! I see that your in Cali so you definitely shouldn’t have any issues finding a decent used set. It seems like 90% of parts for sale here are in California lol

 

Depends on what you mean by "light off-roading". I have Predator steps on both my FJ and my Taco and I do all sorts of what I would consider light off-roading with them. I have never had a problem.

Now if you know in your heart that you really need some quality sliders given where you will be taking your truck, then you should do it.

 

Yeah, I suppose you are right. We went to Bald Mountain CA last weekend and my steps bottomed out . They weren't damaged but it's just a matter of time. I'm going to look for some used sliders today.

 

C4 makes a nice option with removable plates.
