    Hey,
Just reading along here...I have an Alpine Power pack sitting around and was looking to add it to the stock head unit to give it some punch with some new speakers...
I had it in my 2010 at one point and was able to wire it directly to the head unit power and ground and did not have to run a dedicated power line..
Now I've been trying to locate a diagram of the LATEST Entune 8" because there are a bunch of the old ones out there before the dedicated speaker connection was moved to the side..
So I can get the wolf pass through harness and cut that and wire it to the amp..
But I was wondering if you powered your amp off the head unit and which wires you jumped?

I used the wolf harness. I did run a separate 12 gage power wire from the battery for mine and have it on its own inline fuse to. I was also pulling wire for a separate compact powered sub at the same time so pulling 2 wires wasn't really much more work. Though it can run off the head unit circuit. I'm not sure what you tap in to for that. It's been a while since I installed it now I'm trying to remember how I configured the amp turn on too.
The wolf harness made it really easy to do the speakers with no cutting to factory wires. You cut the wolf harness half, one side wires to the input wires on the amp and plugs in the the back of the head unit to pick up the speaker output from it. The other to the amps output and to the factory harness.

Ask @Speedfreak about powering it like that. If I remember correctly in a different thread he did his that way.

Thanks...One thing is if you use the non-rca line in speaker wires setting (From the factory head unit) the Power pack will auto power on and doesn't need a remote wire...(just read that) I am still baffled by if I had my DIP switches correct on the Alpine power pack because the manual shows switches as black and the rear of the unit shows switches as white...

I went with the same set up with the DS18 and the highs are a bit harsh. I’m thinking of swapping out. You still enjoying?

My 2 cents. Get the alpine 3inch. Anything is better but these fit with an adapter plate and no trimming. Don’t be Worried too much about 2ohm 4ohm. I didn’t notice much difference. Just don’t put a low sensitivity speaker that needs 500 watts.

Where did you get the adapter for the Alpine tweeters? I’m searching for a set for my setup.
