Stuff that makes it easier to run over other stuff.
    Hey guys,

Got started on my bumpers and sliders yesterday and I'm going to be spray painting rather than powder coating for easy touch-ups. I'm looking for recommendations on prep and paint! What kind of stuff did you use on yours, and how is it holding up? Did you use primer, and if so what kind? I'm thinking about using a self-etching sandable primer followed by a few coats of gloss black, but don't know what brands and that sort of thing. I know certain paints hold up way better than others do, which is why I'm asking y'all. :D

    Thanks!

I know a bunch of guys use Duplicolor Truck Bed Coating. It comes in a spray can. I used it on my skid plates and it gave them a nice grit and hasn't had any paint come off yet.

rostoleum spray paint would be the best for durability and easy to use.

i went with duplicolor bed liner. i am very happy with it. it looks really good and holds up well. it is even easy to touch up, just spray more on like you would spray paint. the only bad thing about the duplicolor bed liner is that it takes forever to dry. it literally takes atleast 2 weeks before it cures - the surface is hard after about 1 day but the whole thing doesnt harden up until atleast 2 weeks.

i have good pics in my build page if u wanna check it out. it has a nice texture.

That spray can bed liner stuff sucks.... Just red oxide Rustoleum Rusty Metal primer and then a solid coat of flat black enamel.
