I live in Denver, Co. and I am quickly realizing the crazy demand for a decent used Tacoma. What states are a little less insane and forgiving for a first time buyer of a 1st gen. Thanks
I am looking for a 1995-2004 2 door, manual, 4 wheel drive under 120,000 miles. My budget is $14,000. Thanks

You want cheap or good? If I was looking for a used Tacoma it would be in New Mexico or Arizona, but I don't know if they'd be the least expensive places to search. OTOH any left in Tennessee or Ohio will be rusted enough that one pothole gets you two trucks.

Welcome! You are going to have a really tough time finding a first gen with mileage that low, but it is possible. Make sure to check a CarFax to see where the trucks you are interested in have lived. Avoid trucks from snowy climates or coastal areas due to salt corrosion. I disagree with the earlier poster about Tennessee trucks. We don't use much road salt here (except for up in the Appalachian mountains). Ohio, though, I agree to avoid. And Indiana, Michigan, New York, Montana,... you get the point. Most of Texas would probably be a good choice based on your location. Good luck!
