Yes, the front end doesn't jump on every bump from the sway bar transferring the bump across the entire front of the truck. You also get more flex in the front end. The truck rides a lot better without it on.

Most said that it was scary going around curves at highway speeds. I didn't experience any of this yes it leans a little more but it's not scary at all. The 885's are strong enough for it to not lean excessively.

You may feel differently. Easy to try it and see what you think. I did it and tried it in a safe area doing evasive maneuvers and had no problem with the way it performed.

It's been off for a year. Rides great and wouldn't go back. Truck actually feels safer when you hit a bump or pot hole in the road without feeling like the front end is moving all together as one. Lets the side that hit the hole or bump do what it's supposed to do with independent front suspension.

I've never done it on a Tacoma, had one break before on an old Jeep, felt like I was gonna roll! But like you said, heavy springs certainly help.

I haven't used them or drove one with the 887's. Is that the one that is the same spring rate as the 885's just longer so you don't have to use the top plate spacer?

I would say try it out and see what you think about it. That's what I did. To me it does't feel any less safe. YMMV.
