Best Tailgate reinforcement ideas

I have the steel skin on my tailgate. While it opens more quickly, it is still soft enough you can let it open on its own.

 

I’m hoping that it’s not as slippery as the plastic. It’s literally like ice when it’s wet.

 

That's how we used to empty out our LMTVs when I was in the army.

 

has some ridges on it, but mostly is flat. Slightly less slippery than ice.

 

Hmmmmnn, I don’t really need the reinforcement, might just see if I can add some grip strips on the plastic.
