This used to be mine 24/30 easy about 27 in my little rural town if I really stayed off the gas. 2.2L inline 4 shit for power but plenty of torque in 1st and 2nd but a bitch to drive in bigger cities usually I started off in 2nd gear because it was so easy and 1st was so low.

I drive a truck also, and where we have to park our personal vehicles it's very dusty, and also not in the best part of the city. MPG is not that big of a deal to me. My commute is only 10 miles, and on Friday when I get home the Taco is still in the garage all shiny and clean ready for the weekend.

Agreed. Trucks aren't supposed to be clean and shiny.

I don't need a junker, I am lucky enough to live where I can count the times it has hailed on one hand (and it is the hail that goes splat, not thump), plus it almost never rains, and only snows maybe once a winter, so I don't deal with rust.

Same. If the hooptie gets hit on the morning commute by some coffee-deprived nitwit instead of my truck, then it's just a lucky bonus.

Taco will eventually get wear/damage regardless, I know this. Not too worried about that... Already had to replace the rear springs and fix a few other things.
