Best tonneau cover?

Both covers allow independent use of the tailgate... so no need to open the cover to close the tailgate.

 

Looking into the Bakflip MX4, going rate for a 5' bed ia about $1100-$1200. Is that about normal? Also any recommended sites to order from that are reputable? I'm a little hesitant to order something like this from Amazon...

Here's the access lorado after 5 yrs of use. Still looks good. Velcro still holds strong. I prefer the low profile roll up covers.
The salesman told me at a demo there were guys jumping on these like trampolines and nothing happened.
I have yet to test this myself, though I do keep it banjo tight.
Can zoom in on the tailgate pic and see how it clamps on.

Are there any covers that are as low profile as the MX4 that aren't tri-fold?

 

The rollups from BAK like the Revolver X4S are pretty low profile as well...

Has the quality of the Revolver improved? When I was shopping a couple years ago, the Revolver got loads of bad reviews for the vinyl separating from the slats, the felt coming unglued, and the vinyl not holding up (fading, cracking, etc.) to the elements in hot climates.

 

I bought my Tacoma used with the backflip mx4. I planned on taking it off but decided to give it a chance. I love it! If anything ever happens to it I will definitely be picking up another. Keeps 98% of the water out and completely folds up against back of cab so I can use the entire bed if need be

 

I'm new to tonneau covers..can you explain what the difference is with an access cover?

 

Essentially the covers are as high quality in a soft rollup as anything out there. We sell a ton and have the fewest issues with them of any brand we sell as far as defects, etc. They allow independent use of the tailgate as well.

 

I have a Truxedo. This roll up style of cover works well for me. For you to find the best cover you need to find out what your needs are in a cover then go from there. Best of luck to ya.

 

I have a BAKFlip MX4 this is my forth one on four different trucks. 3 Rams and now my 2023 Tacoma long bed. I have been satisfied with BAKFlip MX4 covers.

 

What brand Hard Tonneau Cover TRi fold are you guys using and Hard cover roll cover? I have a 2014 TRD BAJA SERIES Double Cab?

 

I had an access cover for 11 years. Rain, sleet, and heavy, heavy snow? No problem. And 11 years later after a wash and a quick application of aerospace 303 the cover looks as good as the day I bought it. During the summer months I’d spray it down with the 303 protectant once a month. Sometimes,more (usually after a wash)

 

I have an Undercover SE cover that was installed in 2014. Still looks good as new. Getting ready to sell it so I can buy a topper for camping.

 

Does one still come here for an mx4 discount or is that elsewhere hahah
