Ive owned a lot of pickup trucks and the 3rd generation Tacoma is so far the best all around truck that I have ever owned. It is probably the best vehicle ever made, ever. It has character.

Truck has not been around long enough to give it that rating.

My Trd is the first truck I have ever owned and in spite of the bashing that the 3rd gen's auto trans has taken, everything is working beyond expectations now! Love it on or off road, looks and drives like a real truck! 20k on odo on my way to my first 100,000!

OP - this is my first truck and I love it. Came from a CR-V and a Subaru and I would pick this over those two brands any day. Of course according to TW I have a white lighting or pink unicorn... I can't keep up with the folks that live here

These posts crack me up. Never in my life would I determine anything to be the best after a short time. Anytime I see someone that has their new vehicle for a few months and posts it is their best ever, I can't help but wonder what the previous vehicles did for them to make that determination. How poor has your vehicle choice been in the past to make this determination this early?

Not until towards the end of its life should a comment be made about that. So much can go wrong before then. It may currently be the nicest vehicle (that is usually why they say it because they have rose colored glasses on their new purchase and it is the quietest, has the most power, most expensive, ect at that time) they have ever owned, but best should be for those that last without problems. Guarantee their next vehicle is "the best ever".

Our best vehicle ever, 1994 Chevy Astro van. Went well over 200k all around the midwest and great lakes towing a boat at its weight limit. Nothing ever broke. Only thing replaced that wasn't a wear item was an alternator. We have had some other great vehicles too. 2002 S10 was also a bullet proof until it was totaled by a red light runner at around 130k miles without any repairs. Sure they weren't the nicest and lacked the features cars did today or style and interior quality but they lasted without a problem.

More power to ya making that comment, but its validity is in question until some years down the road...

Sure it was hyperbole, but it could be a vehicle that does everything he wants. He did say best all around truck. The point is these positive posts are welcome because of all the fucking misers on this forum. If we're going to rightfully report real issues with the truck, then we should be able to celebrate our love for it.
