That’s like asking which oil is better....

A better question would be uniball vs moog.

"Insert whichever uniball UCA each person has that provides input"

In all seriousness, TC/Icon/Camburg will be just about all the same

uniball's require more "attention" to maintenance. If you live in a wet climate and just want an install and forget uca, the moog is the way to go. I have camburg uniball's but I live in the desert, so wipe and lube 2x a month and when I wash the truck or it rains....almost never.

Here is some info on the TOTAL CHAOS Upper Control Arms for your 3rd Gen Tacoma
    http://www.chaosfab.com/2016-2018-Tacoma-Upper-Control-Arm-Kit-96504.html

    - 100% Made in the USA (Our Facility is in Corona, CA)

    - 4130 Chromoly construction

    - Designed with added caster to aid in retaining factory alignment specs. This will also help prevent darting or wandering after installing 2.5-3" lift kits

    - CNC machined spindle adapter converts the standard ball joint setup into a 100% stainless steel uniball. This will give you maximum strength and wheel travel. All TOTAL CHAOS Uniballs are 100% stainless steel and heat treated for maximum corrosion resistance and durability

    - Urethane bushings reduce bushing deflection over stock and are easily greased using the zerk fitting on the arm. No alignment or removal from the vehicle required (HOW TO VIDEO HERE)

    - Bushings and Uniballs are easily replaced down the road. At TOTAL CHAOS we wanted to make preparation as easy as possible when it comes time to replace a component. We have you covered! (HOW TO VIDEO HERE)

    - 2 Stage Powder Coat including a durable clear coat for a long lasting finish

Give us a shout if you have questions about any TOTAL CHAOS products!

If you live somewhere with rain and snow, and for sure want to go uniball, get one that offers a cap to help keep moisture and gunk out (I know Icon has a cap, not sure which others do).

I live in California in the Bay Area it’s sunny most of the year. I do live on property tho so I get a decent amount of dust. How much more travel does the uniball give over the Moog?

I’m not going to be off roading like crazy, but I do want to option to. I mainly want something that’s going to help give more travel, better response and be reliable with my 2.5in lift and 33s.

You can expect up to 1" of additional wheel travel over stock when paired with extended travel coil over shocks.

Another thing to keep in mind is MOST factory replacement UCAs maintain factory alignment specs. When you lift a vehicle with factory upper control arms the wheel will move towards the rear of the vehicle (negative caster). With negative caster you will often have wandering or darting of the vehicle. The TOTAL CHAOS UCA's have positive caster built-in for lifted applications. This allows vehicles with 2.5-3" lifts to get back into factory alignment specs.

If you get into a wreck and damage 1 control Arm... TC wont sell you just one. I dont know what the other companies policies are.... but worth looking into.

Ran Light Racing UCAs on my FJ for several years and about 50k with no issues. Worked well with with my 3" Toytec/5100 lift and 285s.

Sorry - that isn't true. We do sell individual components if needed, but pricing is a little bit different on these parts. When selling replacement parts, we have to charge you full retail on every component.

    Huge markups.

A pair of OEM Toyota upper control arms are $150 with ball joins, how the hell is an aftermarket UCA $500-800

I'm sure there is significant design and testing required on them, especially the ones that are long travel. I've bought adjustable UCAs for track cars before that were in the $300-$400 range. I can understand an upcharge as offroad is hard on suspension components and we need 100% reliability here. But I am not sure how they get to near a grand. I got shocks in all four corners for less than that.

I have been on the lookout for UCAs under $500 and I think SPC or JBA are my options. Both seem very well made and reliable.

    Anyway, sorry to hijack..
