Both are a waste of money when Total Chaos exists.

Set up look clean! I was going get the JBA uca arm and the 2.5 oem king shocks. But for what I’m spend on that I could get a 3.5” long travel kit . just have to save little more for the long travel shocks. It’s hard to decide what to buy/build. Found this long travel kit from Jd fabrication. For a good price comparing to other I seen.

You keep saying OEM King. They are not OEM.

What you mean to say is mid travel right?

And long travel is much more, that kit doesn't include shocks, nor does it include cv axles and steering.

It’s hard … I’m between trying stay in my budget but willing to spend that little extra cash. I wanted do TC 3.5” LT kit but was out of my budget but then found other 3.5” LT kit for like $2,100 about 1k cheaper then TC . So the price I’ll spend for 2.5 king shocks with the SPC uca I could just get the 3.5” LT kit

Correct…. Just used to saying oem don’t know why. Yes I’m aware I have to get long cv axles and steering. That’s why I’m in between just going all out right now with the 3.5” or just doing uca with 2.5 king shocks

How about you give us your reason why TC is better than SPC?
I have tons of data in the links in my sig. That says you're wrong.

Hey I have custom Spacers for TC UCA because they have such a ridiculous angle on lifted trucks.

    What is your end game?
It all depends on what you're trying to do?
Anything over a 3" lift I'd recommend a good LT kit. Or a Drop bracket lift.
You can get a pair of SPC"s for around $400 from RockAuto they are vendors here on TW.

I don't think the math is adding up correctly here for the comparison. If you get coilovers + UCAs .. that's about $2100 depending on what you get. If you get that long travel kit you linked for $2100, you still need to get coilovers, CVs, and some misc stuff (brakes, steering).. that's probably closer to $4000 for a proper setup.

I meant to say I rather spend what I’m spend for the uca and shocks for the LT kit and of course go out my budget to finish the build.

@toku58 had a great question, the best one yet = what is your end goal?

I don't think you realize just how capable mid-travel is?

In stock form, these vehicles are more capable than many of their owners.

Just how experienced and capable of a driver are you?

Also, long travel is aimed towards a different type of wheeling - going fast.

Not to say you can't off-road with long travel, but it naturally caters to handling 'whoops' you'd run into during go-fast sessions not to mention handling better over long sessions with the use of larger shock bodies (better heat dissipation), bypass, and more.

I'm not sure you even know what you want.

He spams his baseless fanboyism of TC in all these kinds of threads. I don't think he realizes he isn't doing them any favors. Don't waste your time.

OG design, top of the line quality parts, top of the line quality 1" uniball that's tough as hell, built for lifted vehicles so no need to adjust anything on it, made to use stock-like alignment settings.

Like I said, what you listed is trash and a waste of money when Total Chaos exists.

Show me those crazy angles on your lifted 6 lug 1st gen Tacoma. My alignment specs are right on the money and have been for many years.

So I'm "fanboying" by saying TC makes the best quality stuff? Prove to me why I'm wrong. If you don't, you wasted your time even responding in reference to me. I don't know why you're so butthurt.

I had a large 2nd gen Tacoma Write up on Cardomain but I'm not sure if it's still there or if Cardomains still exist?? (You can try and search for it was my old 06 Taco)

"Design"?? Exactly the same quality as Camburg or other UCA out there. (Same as Ebay UCA's that have the same 1" uniball)
The materials are tough as nails!
    But the "Design" is wrong!
Adding Caster with UCA's is WRONG. (All you're doing is moving your tire closer to your pinch welds at Full Stuff)
When you droop your suspension to achieve a 3" lift you need to correct the CAMBER of the static height.

I guess you didn't take the time to read my links in my sig.
This guy has good information to hep you understand.
    https://youtu.be/huMztKaHsUE?si=Be1wOp9Ibkn-jV4K

But hey I'm not going to waste my time repeating something basic like this. (It's there if you care to read.)
    You do you!

    Have a Great Day!

This is not necessarily true. With larger tires, you’ll sometimes want to add caster beyond what any adjustment to the stock suspension system can provide, hence the modification to the UCA.

I tend to agree, I have 35" tires and had to tub the floor and firewall anyway so I dialed the caster way up on the upper control arm first and just tubbed extra so I could have up to 4.5* of positive caster without scrubbing the cab. It's some built in extra clearance now. I run about 3.75* positive usually to keep nice road manners with the large tires.
