Thanks everyone. This forum is awesome. I washed my truck today and getting some 3M wax soon. Really want to keep the blue paint in tact and last a long time. I truly love my new Tacoma and want to take care of if.

Welcome to TW! There is never a shortage of opinions on car detailing products. Many of the products listed here are good and would likely serve you well. Similarly, the previously listed forums are good sources of information from other enthusiasts.

Your choice of wax really has little to do with the color of your vehicle, and is more about durability, aesthetics, ease of use, and price. That info is relevant to whether a good wax or sealant would better meet your needs. Waxes rely on certain natural ingredients (e.g., carnuba) to provide protection and shine. Sealants rely on synthetic ingredients (e.g., polymers) to do so. Waxes, therefore, tend to be less durable than sealants, though they frequently provide a deeper/wetter looking shine. More info is available here.

FWIW, I use primarily Adam's products to detail everything we own, from my daily driven Tacoma to my Shelby show car. Whether you like their products or not, their videos do a good job of explaining the detailing process and demonstrating techniques that can be used with a variety of products.

    Same as everybody else...
It the "up to 12 months" that's gonna getcha. I use Colinite twice a year and it usually lasts about 4-5 months and I also wax using either Mothers products or McQuires stuff.
