Get yourself a torque wrench. There's torque specificaitons that you have to follow for all the bolts you put back.
Also, Put Lube on all the hinging bolts. Make sure you have a breaker bar when working on suspension.

If you're unfamiliar with working on cars, the first thing you have to keep in mind is safety.
Make sure your car is securely lifted on Jacks. Buy a decent set of jackstands.
Every time you start loosing up a bolt. Make sure your arm swing won't hit anything.
And the bolt you're removing is not to a part that has alot of pressure or weight without proper support.

Invest in a torque wrench if you're going to do any automotive stuff, and just follow the specs. I've helped a few guys with their suspension and done some of my own, and the only thing in all of it that I remember really being a pain in the ass was trying to take the long ass bolt out of the UCA, which you don't have to do unless you're changing your UCA. That's only bad because you have to access it through the engine bay and there's shit in the way. Alignment is something you'll have to have done by a professional or use the 'alignment at home' method that you can find on here. Honestly, right after I lifted, my alignment seemed fine. Truck wasn't pulling or anything, but I am going to be trying my first home-alignment shortly because it got all jacked up on a wheeling trip recently.

All great advice, I've done some minor suspension work, but those torque specs would be great. I'm sure someone's got it stickied or something right?

Got the breaker and torque wrench. Upgraded to a better jack and I've got stands. I'd really like to do upper control arms and bils with ome coils in the front and leave the rear stock until I really need to upgrade. Maybe swap the rear shocks down the road.

I was talking about making the shank longer at the bottom of the shock, not pre loading the springs, I would keep the stock ride bit gain a ittle lift
