How has nobody posted this yet?

    :worthless:

Seriously, though... if you're really doing all of the things you say you are and STILL losing weight, you could be sick.

Also... why does your information say "Gender: Dude"?

1 g of protein for every pound you that you weigh. Right type of excercise and diet, and you should put on some weight.

I've been trying to gain weight for years. Not eating breakfast never helped. Sure, metabolism might slow down, but hunger goes down too. I think I may have actually put on some weight since I started eating breakfast each morning at work. Been doing whey protein for over 3 months now, but without any real exercise beyond my normal routine I haven't built more muscle mass.

I put on a few pounds 2 jobs ago when I was eating Wendy's, BK, and McD's damn near each day. First time in my life I broke 155lbs, but I was down to 143 3 months ago when I had my physical for work. Haven't weighed myself again recently to see if I've gained any, but you can see not eating fast food every day lost me 12lbs. lol The sad thing is that's 3lbs under my "normal" weight of 146 since HS.

U need to consume a whole lot of calories, that should be healthy calories not fast food. If u want to put on weight you should eat 6 to 8 times a day in addition to protein shakes.

 if only... ;) :p ( i wonder if that really does help  ) ive always heard jokes about it, but someone should really do research

    see... theres the issue...

when i work, i usually go in at 8:30-8:45am for a 9am appt. Between all my appts i only get a 15mn break (which really isnt a break at all) with this said i only have enough time to get the client out of my room after their appt is thru, tell them to drink lots of water (blah, blah, blah...) and of course some of them talk away which is ok... then i usually walk them back to their lounge (mens or womens) then i gotta come back & change out the sheets, put the dirty ones in the hamper on the other side of the offices... then i have to fill out their S.O.A.P charts and sometimes they take forever bc theres so much to record (but not always)... then i have maybe 5mn left.

here is a question: is it better to eat protein bars ie. payday's protein bar (which tastes freakin awesome) or is it better to eat one of them energy bars?

and another hard thing about my breaks between clients is there is no fridge for us to keep any protien shakes. although i have been usin this kellogs protein additive which tastes ok but i have to shake the shit outta it otherwise them chunky pieces are horrible!

i hope me explainin what goes on puts everyones mind at what im lookin at here. i stay so busy that i dont have time to eat any snacks hardly. usually i work from 9-6 everyday and usually im always booked. when im not i do eat what i can though.

im gonna stop typin now bc i just should

I'm not a girl, but I know what works for me. It all depends on how you want to gain weight. If you want to go the unhealthy route, eat lots of red meat, and foods high in carbs/saturated fats (cheese, breads, pizza).

If you want to go the healthy route, you need to eat complex carbs (fruits, pastas, oatmeal), high proteins (chicken, fish, lean red meat). Then you need to work out. If your ass is shrinking then do excercises that will enhance the muscles around your ass and upper thighs. If your boobs are shrinking then work on your pecs and the muscle will kinda push your breasts out. If you shrink everything surrounding your chest, then naturally it will make it look larger as well.

If you start taking a lot of protein you will want to invest in twice the toilet paper than you already do because you crap a lot then. 1-1.5 grams of quality protein per body lb. If you are 125 you should be taking 125-187 grams based on how hard you are working out.

You need to be careful eating bad foods such as fatty red meats and cheeses because they will most likely raise your cholesterol- which in turn can lead to problems later on in life.

If you don't have to be at work until 8 or 9 you have a lot of time to work out before work...or if you have the energy after work. If you are trying to gain weight, I would think heavier weight and less reps would be your goal then. Do squats, lunges, and any leg exercises you can. Chest obviously flys, incline, decline, flat press will work the entire pectoral area.

Protein shakes you can take one in the morning before work, one when you get home, and one at night....def. one after your workout as well. If you want one at work, put some powder in a bag and get a shaker cup or mini mixer and throw it together any time then. No fridge, bring a cooler and put a bottle of water or milk in it. You really need to eat atleast 3 times a day for your body to be healthy and get enough sleep at night.

Eating crap food to try to gain fat is doing nothing for your body and you will notice your energy level and sex drive diminish as well. Once you start working out you will feel so much better overall, plus your sex life will improve as well.

When working out, it will take 2-3 months before you start seeing any noticable gains too. Too many people quit too early because they think nothing is happening.

My quick story- In highschool I weighed 150 lbs @ 6-1. I took those weight gainers but they didn't do much. Once I started going to the gym and taking protein I straight to grain good weight. Up to 175ish. I stopped working out then, ate frozen pizzas, hamburgers and quesadillas all the time. Within 8 months I had lost all the muscle I gained and went from a lean 175lbs to 210 fat lbs. I was tired all the time and sex sucked. My arms and shoulders shrunk to nothing. Got back into routine, dropped to 180 healthy lbs and I felt 10000% better. My sex energy was back, I looked good and felt good.

I'm not one of those hard-core guys because I still love to eat hamburgers and pizza, but do it in moderation now. I love beer too, so that keeps my belly larger than when I was pre-21 :D

Hope that helps some. If you want better info I would check out the womans section of bodybuilding.com, they have some extremely knowledgeable people there who could probably help you better than anyone here.

My emphasis there. Seriously, if you're looking to put on some padding, eat before you go to sleep. People that have asked me how to easily/lazily lose weight all get the same answer: don't eat after 8pm. Seeing as that you're looking to gain a little, the opposite would apply.
