No, rubbing alcohol does wonders. Only bad thing is it strips all the wax so you will have to re-wax your vehicle. I used rubbing alcohol to remove over spray from plasti dip and excess gunk from when I removed my pinstripes :D

Its also good for bugs, water spots, road grime, etc.

thanks for the responses. theres still a haze on the truck. so i guess ill just have tompaint the badges then reapply them over the hazy spots. it also looks like i have to pm sockmonkey for some new decals to go over the haze.

LESSON OF THE DAY! USE GOO GONE! AND WHEN YOU HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SAY, CAPS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

    .

Now you have to get the "grinder" out ... 80 grit should do it ... ... j/k

Seriously ... use a heat gun (not too close) or a hair dryer in direct sun and rub (kinda roll the adhesive) off gently with a rubber glove. You can rub it off your your fingers, but it will make them a bit raw.

The more direct sun light and higher the temp, the easier it is to get it off.

one week old! give it time...
    only 2 questions.

Goo gone work for badges as well or just stickers? (like TRD)
I read other descriptions of badge removal but am very wary. I can't afford a new paint job. Is it safe?

the eraser wheel is the way to go i use one all the time at work just take your time with it cuz just like a buffer you can burn your paint but is the fastest way to take off double sided tape, stickers, decals, etc

Goo Gone is good for any kind of adhesive, badges, stickers, etc. I used it when I removed my badges(to get what was left after I peeled what was renaming of the emblem tape) and I used it on the adhesive from my TRD stickers. I've used Goo Gone on all my vehicles for this type of stuff it's always worked.
