Best Way to Level my Lift

    Backstory...

    Currently sitting on 5100s all around, OME 885 springs up front and an ICON 3 leaf progressive AAL in the back (with overload leaf). I love the kit and after it settled, I got about 2” of lift on all four corners. The driver’s side front also has a 1/4” top plate spacer installed which did a pretty good job of correcting the infamous “Taco lean”. However, because I didn’t take the front up higher than the I did the back, I pretty much maintained the factory rake. Fast forward to now and before I install larger tires and adjustable upper control arms, I’d like to raise the front of the truck .5” to .75” to give it more of a leveled look. Ideally, I’d like to maintain a slight rear to front rake (and definitely avoid the nose high look) but the current 1.25” of rake I have now is a bit much.

    With that said, I’m looking for input and insight into the best/easiest way to achieve my desired .5” to .75” inch increase up front that won’t kill the ride quality of the current kit. I have no desire to raise the rear of the truck any higher so here are three ideas I’ve gathered from my limited research thus far:

    1) swap the front coils from 885s to 887s
    2) raise the 885s from the 0 setting on the 5100s to the .85” setting
    3) swap the 1/4” top plate spacer to the passenger side (adding .5” to that side) and install a 1/2” spacer on the driver’s side (adding .5” to that side and maintaining the additional .5” lean correction)

    Right now I’m leaning towards option 3 for ease of install and cost but I’m open to suggestions. The 1/4” spacer on the driver’s side has been there since I originally installed the lift so I don’t really know how it impacts ride quality. I’ve read a few things about preloading the 885s killing ride quality and I’m afraid that option would add too much lift, potentially leaving me nose high. As for option 1, I know OME claims the 887 springs have the same rating as the 885 springs but that’s by far the most expensive and involved of the three options. Any advice or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

    I wouldn't see a problem with option #3, definitely the cheapest way to go!

    I’m hoping that option wouldn’t add any harshness to the ride quality. I’m just looking to bring the front up a bit so the rake isn’t so noticeable and since I already have one top plate spacer, I figured grabbing one more would be the easiest option.

    If you were going from stock to say 1.75 or 2" spacer then you could probably tell a difference in ride, just a small bump I think would be hard to notice!
