Best Way to Lift?

I want to lift my 2nd gen non TRD Taco 2-2.5 inches. I am looking at Bilstein 5100s for the front. Should I do the front 5100's and look into AAL's. Thanks in advance!

 

Should I assume that you know that the rear shocks aren’t what give you lift?

 

Yes I am aware of that, I worded my question incorrectly and edited it. What is the best way to lift the rear of the truck?

 

Oh ok. AAL or leaf pack. Waiting on my shocks to install mine currently and the wait is killing me.

 

Best answer will be determined by what you do with your truck, how much weight you normally carry in it and how much lift do you want?

 

Best way is full leaf pack, then AAL, then I guess the cheap way of blocks...

 

Have any brand recommendations for either? Are there pros or cons to either? Im pretty new to all this lol.

 

Not much weight, a small boat and the occasional 4,000 pound trailer

If you want to do things on the cheap then AAL. Leaf pack will be quite a bit more, but, buy once cry once.

 

I’m sure aal would be just fine for you. It would give you about 1.5-2”

I woudl idealy like to run a 2 inch lift, so would I look for a 2 inch AAL or go higher? Does it make a difference that I have the toyota AAL recall that added another leaf to the rear to make a total of 4 leafs.

 

That I don’t know, maybe someone else has info on. But, to get a full 2” on a normal set up you just leave the overload leaf in when installing the aal.
