They mentioned earlier it’s medical related and don’t want to discuss specifics. Best to respect their privacy.

Yeah but he’s the one that posted so I think it’s fair to ask follow up questions. It’s hard to offer solutions without fully understand the problem. It’s not like he has to give to many specifics. Like is it medicine that has to remain below freezing or does he just loose his s*** if he doesn’t get his hot pocket?

Not a hot pocket, but a waffle. Seriously. Part of an eating disorder....

What about bribing some local TW'ers to just swing by and toss you the prepared food item over the fence?

Well if you start out frozen each day I’m pretty sure dry ice in a good cooler would keep it that way for some time. Toaster is a pretty easy problem to solve I think. If you need to run a freezer for any length of time I think realistically your going to have to look into adding additional batteries and a way to charge them every day. I’m going on the idea you will need to run it 24/7.

I may be overthinking the whole thing, and can just use dry ice since it's a waffle I mean won't really go bad. I don't think the freezer would have to be on for more than 7 hours a day

How much sun will you be getting and is it in a safe area?

For the frozen portion I would personally get a small dometic dual zone, a portable battery like a goal zero (or build your own if you're handy), and a portable either solar blanket or goal zero solar briefcase (less secure and easy for someone to walk off with if you aren't around the truck, and requires good light). If you went small enough you could keep it around $1,000 I think but likely a little over. Good news is they are all useful items that last.

I can run a toaster and a larger dometic off my goal zero 500x lithium. But you'll need to do some maths to suit your needs. The best solution is go dual battery with a dedicated aux battery (I have an AGM) with solar panels on roof racks etc. to top off and keep it constant when you need. But it gets pricey too and is significantly more work. Good luck!

That definitely seems like a lot more work and money than I was trying to invest. And since I am in Los angeles, the equipment would probably be gone by the time I got back to the truck the first day. But I guess there would be a lot of sunlight would be the only Plus.

Why not just a couple of ice packs and a 12v toaster? If you're just trying to keep frozen waffles from spoiling for 8 or so hours that should do the trick.
