Start at one end. End at the other?

Use a razor blade to lift the end enough for you to be able to hold it, and peel it off.

    Is it seriously this easy?

Hopefully Lowes has these eraser wheels. I'll go get one right now and give this a try. Maybe an auto store instead?

    Thanks!

You don't need a eraser wheel. Use a hair dryer at one end and use your fingernail to pick it off the paint. Run the hair dryer about 4" in front of where you are pulling the stripe off and it will come right off. Took me 5 mins to de-stripe my truck.

Truck as it sat on the lot with the stripe.

Didn't even use a heat gun for mine. Leave your truck out in the sun for a few hours and pull the sun-facing-side off, then turn it around (or wait for the sun to rotate to the other side), and peel away again.

    It's dead easy.

ok so I actually used the 3M eraser wheel and did it today. Took a few minutes and was done.

However, I can still lightly see AND feel the lines from some remaining glue. Should I just hit that with Goo Gone tomorrow and wipe it away? Or what's the best way to get rid of those last lines?

    Thanks! Looks soo much better

A quick wax and polish got rid of the little bumps on mine. Couldn't see mine though so you may have to go a bit harder.

I'd avoid Goo Gone if possible, just easier on the clearcoat.

Goo-Gone, and it'll likely need a good buff by a GOOD detail guy.
There's 3 years of wax built up along the edges of that tape.

Yup. years of build up for sure. I'll have to give it a good goo-gone shower and then wax.

Not sure what I think about using Goo-gone. Yea it's safe, but probably not the friendliest thing on the paint.

I'm going to drop her off for a wash, detail, and waxing later today and hopefully that does the trick.

    Goo-Gone is okay.
    Goof-Off can be harsh.

two automatic car washes later and you can still slightly see and feel the leftover lines, but it's not too much of an issue. I could take the time and do it myself, but I think a few more washes and they'll be gone.

    haha. right?
