Dallas seems crazy huge and chaotic during rush hour.

I got across 10 lanes in San Fran once during rush hour, was pretty proud of that. My girlfriend was terrified but the drivers were fairly accommodating.

I mostly come here for the comedy these days.

Occasionally, real info, and I often find that too - but the tantrums keep me coming back on the regular.

He's a banned overlander. Jeeptown has spun the wheel and chanted Gulag.

And now he's washed up on our shore.

I've been through San Fran twice.
The first time I was in a 350 flat bed, and the natives went all road-ragey on me because I didn't anticipate the unmarked and frankly stupid lane designations of Cash/tag/tag/cash/tag/cash on the Bay Bridge.

The second time I was in a rental mustang, and make no mistake, I was a major asshole. It's the rule that if you are in a mustang in San Fran and don't get it airborne, you did something wrong.

I just can't picture russell crowe going on FB and complaining about toyota dealers in his area

If you're driving a rig that says Gladiator on the side you need to act like one

Ah yes. Wrestle other bare chested men to the dirt and occasionally punch a lion.

    That's my kind of bar.

Pretty sure I can see rubber duckies on his dash. I'll never understand that either.

I visited San Fran and did not get airborne in my drop top rental stang.

I don't recall the drive to be bad except for a tiny stretch. Rolled over the golden gate, because why wouldn't you. Randomly ended up on the extra curvy road and cruised past att park

I did feel quite inferior in it during the LA portion of the trip.

The only bad part about the trip was finding the tunnels between Big Sur and Monterey. Because we all know what we want to do in tunnels - give it the beans and hear the echo.

So I gave it the beans... And I heard something that really messed with my head. In the cabin was a big Mustang rumble. Bouncing off the walls however... was tire noise and an anemic 4 cylinder. I was so confused I did it twice more. Cabin, muscle car rumble. Echo, Honda Accord on cruise control.

That's when it dawned on me. The Mustang is a noise poser.

doesn't the new Tacoma have "fake" exhaust sounds?

I could be wrong, but thought I read that somewhere?

i can't find my pix... but i had the same car in black. it was so funny driving up the PCH. there was a yellow rental doing the same thing. during our stay in Monterey, we were waiting on the valet to pull it around... he pulled around a black drop top but it was for someone else. seemed like every other car was a rental drop top stang.

Glen Oaks in big sur is a great place to stay
