best wheel cleaner ??

i got a 2002 with 115,000 miles and i seem to have a hard time getting the wheels clean from the brake dust and other stuff.

what is the best wheel cleaner out there for this ? something i can buy at oreily ?

what is the current condition of the wheels? are they aluminum, chrome, clear-coated? i have always used a non-acidic wheel cleaner. mother's makes a great tire and wheel cleaner but autogeek.net has some really good options for you as well.
