Best wheel/tire size with 3" lift...?

After all my research I will probably go with an OME 3" lift.

What is a good size wheel/tire combo for this lift? (backspace, offset, ect) I want to run mud terrain's, either toyo's or bfg's. I don't mind doing a little inner-fender trimming, just no major structural or body work.

I know this is a fairly common lift and tire size so I'm hoping to hear from lots of guys that have done something similar.

I have my eye on moto metal 960's or Mickey Thompson classic beadlocks. I want to stay with 16 or 17's if possible.

    thanks-
    B

OME 3" with 885s and top plate spacer, 2" AAL, OME rear shocks, Light Racing/SPC UCAs, OME CB Drop, 285/75/16 BFG AT's on Level 8 Guardian wheels
    285/75/16 or 285/70/17

I run 285/75/16s on 4.5" backspacing. Did a little trimming, maybe 10 minutes worth total. No rubbing at all.

its also a fairly common question, at least you posted in the correct section...either 285/75/16 or 285/70/17 is a good size to run with 3", you might rub a little unless you go with aftermarket rims like the mickey thompsons or wheel spacers, get spidertraxx if you stay with your stock wheels

I'm happy with 275/70/17 no trimming with BFG's.

Personally I think the A/Ts and M/Ts lose their appeal after a while if you dont do serious wheeling. They annoy you on the highway, and I am a mpg whore so I hate when I lose them. The extra weight 24/7 is also a reason I went back to a lighter tire.
    Heres my before/after with 265 BFs and 285 Revo2s

you can see the 285s really fill the wheel space out

What is the offset on those rims? I really like the way it sits. And what tires do you have on?

Good lookin' truck. Are you running a full 3" lift? I'm considering this route but I'm only at 2.5"
