I guess I’m old school because I like the 16” wheels. I got a qoute at my local Toyota dealer for over $1k. While there, one of the guys at the parts counter qouted a lower price for TRD Pro SEMA 17” Matte Black Wheels and tried to convince me to go with 17” wheels rather than 16”. He said there’s a greater tire selection with 17” wheels.

I think they started making FN Fx Pros in a 16x8 also.

That would be awesome. I just hate that they don't have them on their site. I'd like a quote on the 16s if they are real

There's a better variety of skinny tires with 17" rims that's for sure. And the 17" wheels really don't look much bigger. But I'm all for the 17" Matt Black TRD Pro ones. Took em off my taco and put them on the wife's runner with skinnies, they still look sick.

Kinda off topic but I really want to replace my stock tires but the only thing holding me back is losing the Toyota warranty on them. I guess semi related to wheels lol

How many miles do you have on them? I replace mine with 16k miles on them. I could probably get another 10k but its coming into winter and I drive a ton as it is.

Losing the warranty on what? I don't understand. If you get different rims and tires and leave the stock ones as backups or summers what warranty are you losing?

I only have 1500 on the truck. Winter is gonna come quick and winters here can be very bad. Do you have experience with the stock goodyears in the winter?

Yeah, I had to pull my new taco out with my old one like the second week I owned it cause the stocks tires suck balls in the snow. It got stuck in a gravel driveway on 12" of wet snow lol

I just got 255/75/R17 duratracs for my wife's runner and they are great though. Like 14lbs lighter than the Cooper STT Pros I had before. Way better economy, quieter and studdable.

The Toyota care warranty. The salesman told me not to replace the tires. But I just looked at the brochure and it sounds like they'll just replace your impaired tire with the spare... maybe I was thinking wrong on the tire warranty.

Fwiw, I bought my 16 pro wheels on an eBay 15 percent off sale. Shipped from a Toyota dealership for way less than your quote. Sold the stock wheels and was in them for about $350.

I don't I bought my truck in may and we didn't get any snow after that this year. They look like they would do alright there looks to be a lot of sipes in the tread. Just make sure the dealer rotates them every 5k miles with your complementary maintenance checks cause factory tires are a softer compound rubber and wear down quicker.

I know skinnier tires are definitely better in harsh conditions but I'm thinking maybe 265 75 16s. Maybe wildpeaks? I'm not sold on k02s based on price and reviews. The wildpeaks have great reviews and are very affordable! I mean I could always keep he goodyears for summer/fall or see what I can get for them with only 1500 miles.
