I know Weathertech makes fine products, but what other brands of wind deflectors and bug deflectors would you all recommend. I see there are in channel and tape on type, AVS, Wade etc.

What other brand and what type would you recommend?

I got the EGR's for the windows... They're slimline and low profile unlike others I've seen

I have the EGR low profile in channel window vents. Very happy with them, got the 4 piece double cab kit for ~40 from Amazon.

I originally installed the in-channel visors and they ruined my window tint. The windows on the Tacoma are very tight and when you add the visor it's too tight. I could see it flexing the seal and the frame when fully closing it. It wrinkled the tint on my windows so I had to get them retinted and now my driver side window is loose and rattles. I switched to the AVS that use adhesive on the outside and after looking at both, they look better also (IMO) and no issues with fitment. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks. I have a friend that works that area, and would have taken you up on that (If I had read this first) but I bought one online last night. Bought an AVS front Bug Deflector and a set of Cleats for my rails. Thanks again though.

OP, I can assure you that many TW members like me that have the in channels deflectors have not experienced any issues with tint damage or window issues. Mine's been on for 4 yrs without issues. IMHO, the inchannels look clean and professional versus the stick on. I have seen quite a few stick ons on various vehicles on the road that flap in the wind due to the adhesive coming loose from exposure to the elements or pieces broken off from accidental impact. Here's my weathertechs:

I originally bought mine for all the reasons you mentioned. I forgot what kind they were though.

Anybody have a preference over the WeatherTech's or the EGR's In-Channels?

do the window wind deflectors create wind noise?

does it reduce buffeting in the cabin with just the front windows down?

I have the ABS in channel window deflectors and the Toyota bug deflector. Love them and no issues with either.

I have the avs and love them. The adhesive is super strong and if the adhesive Does wear down then a roll of 3m body tape is relatively cheap

Personally, EGR over Weathertech because they're more low profile
