I've been thinking about getting that 3M 90% stuff. Because I hate the sun.

This wouldn't be tacomaworld if I wasn't offended by the way you used the word mod.

So what did you decide? I would recommend 80%. Hardly noticeable from the inside but looks great from the outside. Keeps excess heat and UV rays off your skin and the interior.

Hmmmm. Apparently stock windshields block almost all UV rays already...?? So I'm left wondering what adding tint will do.

    https://www.autoblog.com/2013/09/06/not-all-car-windows-protect-against-uv-rays/

The layer of plastic helps windshields absorb nearly all of the sun's ultraviolet rays. Plastic is naturally good at absorbing UV rays, and can be made with extra UV absorbers to protect even more. The Pittsburgh Glass Works exec says windshields absorb 100 percent of UVB rays (which cause sunburn), and around 98 percent of UVA rays. Those UVA rays don't cause sunburn but can do long-term damage to the skin. That built-in protection gives windshields a sun protection factor - or SPF - of 50 or more, the equivalent of some of the strongest sunscreens.

Did 50% on my truck as I got older I hated it. Even with “upgraded” headlights at night it just wasn’t working. Now I just rock the strip and even now sometimes I find myself hunching forward to get it out of my line of sight. I can appreciate both sides of the argument and for me it’s a no go.

Tinting a windshild is like putting a big wing on the trunk of a civic, you do it because you think its cool.

Anyhow, OP. That’s my truck in your pic. If you have any questions about the tint, feel free to hit me up.
