I am just an idiot I figured out what what it was. The clamps on the frame holding the insert in were just loose causing the rubber to slide and allowing the metal inserts to slide. I just had to squeeze the clamps down. I feel about a million times dumber right now.

About a year ago I bought some silicone wiper blades. They seem like a good idea. After a while, they started to jump across the window. I don't know what the proper term is. So I ditched them for some Teflon-coated one-piece blades.

I have had Bosch Icons for about five months now and they are still holding up well. Worked pretty good in the winter, keep in mind I did try to remember to lift them up when is was going to snow. Spring as sprung and still no problems. We'll see how long they last.

I've been in the rain a couple times with them so far. They are much better than the Rain-X blades I had.

Isn't is recommended to change blades everything 6 months?

My OEM blades were on the truck for 3 years before they stopped performing...

There probably is a 'recommended' service life to wiper blades but to me, blades are something that should get changed out based when they stop performing, not based on duration.

Michelin hybrids from Costco. Best thing since sliced bread for blades here with winter. Great for in summer, and they don't gum up when the snow and ice hits, and they don't lift like with regular winter blades.

Now that I fixed my stop wipers ( I kick myself every for how stupid I am ) they work flawless. My PIAA wipers come in next week. During the first heavy rain I will try them both and and give a detailed review. I might put one of each wiper on for a true comparison.

For those of you with the PIAA bladed did you need the adapter or just slide it on the hook? I have not opened the package yet but it looks like it just slides on. Dont want to force it on there just to mess it up.

    PIAA, get PIAA.
A little more expensive than the competitors, but head and shoulders above the rest.
For install, just match the wiper you took off to the hook/adapter that looks the closest. It takes a little bit of pressure to attach. But not much.

I have not used Rain-X in years, to me it seemed to shorten the life of the wiper blades so I stopped using it. I might pick up and try the "Rain‑X Washer Fluid Additive" and see how that goes. So far 11 months on OEM wipers and still going.

I just put on the Bosch Icons. Had Trico - they were not worn out but drivers side chattered - annoying. How is the longevity on these ??

The Bosch Icons on my truck have held up relatively well. They are roughly a year old and are starting to streak somewhat. The streaks however are still the fine trails of water, instead of big globs of water.

    Aquapel
is what I use for washer fluid. I used to be a RainX guy but thought it was time to see what else is out there. Not too bad, eats away at about 90% of fresh bug splatter and 100 for dust. The streaks didn't start occurring till I started using Invisible Glass with water repellent. In the rain it seems there is a "film" on the glass that doesn't mesh with the Bosch Icons.

Conclusion. Fan of the Icons, Aquapel- might try more of their products, especially since I need to find a replacement for invisible glass.

Had rain last week. No more chatter. Cleaned windows fine. Time will tell on the longevity.

    Update with Aquapel products.

They have a glass treatment product that is advertised to chemically bond with glass, creating a rain repellant surface for up to six months.
The steps required are fairly straight forward. For those that might use this product, make sure the glass is exceptionally clean before you apply the glass treatment and you have plenty of shop rags/paper towels at your side.

After applying the glass treatment I noticed an immediate improvement. It drastically out performs Invisible Glass with rain repellant glass cleaner. During rainfall, water beads much like it does on a nicely waxed car. At speeds over 40 mph, the rain simply rolled over the windscreen. I find myself only having to use my wipers at low mph or when a quick "clear" view is needed (passing etc).

Conclusion-Fan of Aquapel's glass treatment, we will see how long it last. The application process is somewhat tedious (making sure you get all the smudges out), but the end result far out weighs the cons. I am curious how it holds up to the ice and snow this coming winter.

And no I do not work for Aquapel. I'm simply a consumer who is sick of buying bad products and will gladly spread the word if I ever come upon a product I like. Hope this was informative to some.
