Trico View is a good product. It works like a more permanent rain x (Lasts 3 to 6 months in a climate with alot of rain).

I can drive down the highway with the wiper blades off and on the slowest setting driving around town at slower speeds. Also makes night driving alot better.

Whether it be this product or even a simple wipe on wipe off type liquid wax. I've been using Hydro2

It doesn't matter what brand the wipers are if you rarely need to use them. Seems like the only time I need them is if the rain is really light or when driving slow traffic.

I tried the Bosch Icon's, loved them on the Silverado, absolutely trash on the 2016 Tacoma. I put my factory back on and keep them clean and Rain-X.

exactly. apply rain x occasionally and be sure to clean your wiper edge with rain x also. it will keep everything going much longer with better performance.

+1 for the PIAA blades, they're a little spendy and I don't know of any part stores (around me anyway) that stock them so I've always had to order them online but they are definitely worth it.

I use Rain X on all windows except the windshield, wipers always bounce around with that stuff.

I'm happy with my Trico Force wipers. They make a 'factory replacement' line called Exact Fit that might be better for your application.

Bosch Icon in winter, stock in summer. Both sets are two years old, they work like new.

I live in the rainiest place in North America, Michelin Stealth have been the best. Bosch Evolutions chattered horribly, Bosch Icons left streaks right out of the package. Rain-x treatment is great!

bed step, more to come ...
I (Rob) work for an auto parts company and have sold wiper blades for over 18 years and have consistently had installers/customers question the life of their wiper blades ... new OE vs aftermarket. There are numerous reasons why wiper blades don't perform like the original OE wipers.
Please keep in mind that when you buy a brand new vehicle, the windshield is "as smooth as a babies bottom" and every day you drive you "sandblast" the windshield!
Who do you think made the original OE wiper blades, the OE dealer?
Also, what are your driving/parking habits ... do you drive on rough roads, do you park under a "sap" tree?
I agree with a prior post that you should clean your windshield with BonAmi on a regular basis (rub 2 fingers on your windshield, does it appear oily?).
Even IF you utilize Rain-X, they also recommend "stripping" the product on a regular basis.
IF your looking for a brand recommendation, I would recommend either Bosch Icon, or TRICO Ice ...
P.S. don't utilize the squeegee's at the gas stations, did you ever see someone overfill and what they utilize to "clean up" the overflow?

I mix Rainex in my washer fluid and use Bosch Icon wipers on all of my vehicles. I've never failed to get at least two years out of a set, and that includes winter driving. The Bosch Icon wipers are guaranteed for one year, free replacement, and are true all weather blades. Never a problem with ice buildup in the winter or winter streaking. A few dollars more but worth every penny.

Ditto on the Bon Ami. Use this to clean and polish your glass. Clean it with your best cleaner, then use BonAmi as previously mentioned (except I use a cloth diaper to apply and remove it) and see the crap that comes off of the glass.

I used to clean windows at the shore. BonAmi and water, along with cloth diapers are all you needed. THE only thing that would cut that salt haze.

I just changed my blades. The OEM were great, the next few pairs sucked, the last pair was great, but I couldn't remember what they were.... it wasn't even written on the frames! So, I'm trying Icons.

Something that will help that was mentioned earlier is getting the outside glass clean. I don't use a cleaner, I just use 000 steel wool. Works great and the glass is harder than the wool. USE IT ON THE OUTSIDE ONLY, DON'T USE IT INSIDE!

In a week and a half, I'll have owned my truck for two years. Factory blades still going strong with no streaks. I know what I'll be using again when it is time to replace!

BUT! ... little particles dislodge from the wool and get trapped in your paint and rust after a while. It is most prevalent on white or real light color cars. It is best to rinse the car after using steel wool with water and dry with a chamomile. I detailed cars for a Cadillac dealer for 5 years.

I've only used PIAA silicones for the past 12 years, they are kind of pricey but they've never let me down. You can also buy refills when its time to change them out and helps keep the cost of replacement down.
