There are two Bestops and one Softopper. They all have different features. I don't think there is a best, but more, a best fit.

The Softopper was what fit me best. I did add my own brake light though.

I have a bestop 2, the fit is much better than the soft topper, but it comes with drawbacks. It takes more time to put up and down, and is a little harder to do.

Instead of using snaps to hold it down, the bestop uses a track system that the bottoms of the flaps slide into.

Here is the only picture I have though, but this is with the sides unzipped and removed.

I love my soft topper. Got it used for $550!

Ok. Thank you for your reply. I like them both. Decisions decisions i think the bestop comes with the 3rd brake light.

Yes it comes with the 3rd brake light in a box, it has a hole for the wires, but no holes for the screws that go in. I didnt put the brake light on yet, but its got a nice plug on it so you can unplug it when you fold it down.

I’ve been wanting to do something a little more than the tiny little spots on my Pro grille. Thinking about some quarter hood stripes or wheel arches. Am thinking about these colors. Who did your vinyl?

Got them from a dude out in Ukraine. He makes all sorts of them, I got the matching hood one too. You can have him add or removing things from the stickers too.

Having a softop on my Jeep wrangler made me decide to go with the windowless softopper. Once the windows are scratched or get hazy over time, it's worthless to view through and looks horrible. The softopper sits more level with the cab and looks more rugged when running it with the sides up.

Softopper is way easier to to operate and they also have the optional mesh windows which are nice for camping, dogs, and not running the vinyl windows unless you have to (vinyl starts to look like crap pretty quickly and bad visibility in rain or winter months).

The Bestop 2 seems to solve my main complaint about the softopper which is the softopper (at least for shortbeds) was made a couple inches too short IMO. As a result, the angle of rear window is too harsh and sort shortens the bed even more. The Bestop 2 just fits way nicer and the slots are a much cleaner look than the snaps. I also like the black powder coat frame way more than the chrome softopper one.

All that being said, if I bought another one I'd still go with Softopper.
