Just got my bestop soft top camper shell and im installing it. Got it all up, got the rear window on and started to install the side window/panels. Im going by the directions. I get the top conected and one side with the zipper. Then wheni attempt to engage the zipper on the other side there's a good 3" gap between each side of the zipper. I've tried everything I can think of to connect the two and am finding it impossible (at least by myself it is) has anyone else had this problem when installing theirs? Any suggestions?

What's the temperature outside? Heat helps.

That is if it is a stiff canvas issue.

If you have access to a fabric steamer, it can work wonders. I was in the automotive upholstery bussiness for many years doing convertible tops and a steamer was my #1 tool.
If it's warm enough outside, lay the top on the blacktop or asphalt for an hour.

Definitely cold out. Probably going to give up tonight and try again tomorrow.

You'll read a lot on here about people having a lot of issues installing the besstop in the cold.

Find a warm shop, or wait till a blue bird day.
