does anyone else have a problem with the rear window piece not staying on the tabs? mine comes out all the time and then it just hangs there over the tailgate.

Has anyone slept in their bed over night with the bestop yet? Would it leak to much in the rain for that application?

A bumper with winch, snorkel and bestop are 3 of my most coveted mods. Awesome set up you have. The DR must be an awesome place to explore.

Haven´t slept in there yet, but had a big rainshower yesterday and it was completely dry inside after when I checked.

DR is a nice place to explore yes and a "done up" vehicle is an important asset for doing that, the roads are sometimes terrible. Lot´s of people think it´s only beaches here, but it is a very diversified country with a wonderful nature. I would even say you have different micro climates. Thinking of the mountainious areas in the inland where the temperatures sometimes goes down almost to zero......(and this is the carribean) And then you drive a few hours and you are on a white sand beach.....Haven´t seen any other Tacomas that have really been "made up" here though, seems the FJ is the most popular 4x4 to "play" with down here, besides the Jeeps of course...

Just a testimonial on Bestop's customer service. It's great. I totaled my 2010 Tacoma, but was able to salvage all but three parts from my Supertop. I bought an indentical 2011 model, and I called Bestop looking to buy the three I needed, but they said they'd send them for free. Thought that was pretty cool.

another testimonial to Bestop's customer service. i explained to them that the tailgate piece has not closed correctly. they sent me a new tailgate piece and the 2 brackets it slides into free of charge. it arrived at my house only a few days after i talked to customer service. works beautifully now, stays closed while i'm driving.

I had the same problem. It seems that some Bestop employees got some canvas mixed up. I also recieved the wrong rear window.

I can't remember what company I ordered it from. The price was great but the customer service was pretty non-existant.

After 2 days of trying to contact the seller, I got in touch with Jim at Bestop customer service, and he fixed me up as quick as possible. Bestop customer service is awesome! I am very happy with my top.

now that its starting to snow, how do these things hold up under the weight? i'm sure the cross supports help some but should i be worried if we get a heavy snow?

i've had probably up to a foot of snow on mine before without any worries...on heavy snow storms i'd maybe go out and brush it off periodically for a peace of mind...

    Question to you Bestop guys...

I got a Bestop off craigslist and it didn't come with the "Adhesive Hook Strip" that the front of the topper hangs onto (the piece that you tape onto the truck). I called Bestop and ordered two extra clamps that'll be put in the front. I didn't get the velcro because it would come out to ~$30. Will the two clamps in the front be sufficient enough to hold the front part of the topper? What does the Adhesive Hook Strip look like? Can I just get some industrial strength velcro with adhesive background and call it a day?

    Thanks in advanced

My velcro strip didn't last long. I went to Lowes and got a piece of angle aluminum and have it clamped to the bulkhead.
